Ultrasound Therapy

Ultrasound is an imaging test that is used to investigate the cause of pain in, for example, tendons, muscles and ligaments. The sonographers within Richard Smith Physiotherapy use this technique to perform additional research in addition to the regular examination. Using ultrasound, the physiotherapist can quickly and clearly determine what is causing your pain and where the cause is.

What ultrasound therapy can be used for

The therapist will determine whether ultrasound is of added value. It can provide a solution when there is doubt as to whether there is tissue damage and to what extent. This may be the case with chronic and acute complaints.
